"Did You Really Just Tell Me NO?!"

Life has been very busy...sometimes I think I really don't like for life to be so busy but, I more or less make it that way, so that we are not just sitting at home watching the boob-tube.

A few nights ago Hensley walks into the kitchen with Steven's clothes on, yes, Baby Steven; her 9 month old brother's clothes. Aside from being a little too short they actually fit her rather well...maybe Steven is destine for pro football...lol!

Hensley decided that she needed a room change yet again. In her few years on this earth she has had already 3 different "rooms". It is starting to get a little bit of jumbled since a few things from the past rooms always stay in the new. Any way, she has decided that she needs and has to have an Ariel room. This room change is going to be on her this time. So, she and Daddy poured out the contents of her piggy bank to see how much damage she could do. After a lesson on the different coinage from daddy. All those, "diamonds, quotas and Uncle Chris or Robbie's" (dime, quarter, nickels)...that little turkey had $100.00 + bucks in that bank, heck that is more than I have in my checking account most of the time, ha! We are now on a search for the "PEERRRRFECT" Ariel/Little Mermaid decor for her room.

I have to add one of my all time favorite pictures of my sweet Hensley. She has always LOVED her piggy banks and counting the contents. This was her first bank that actually got broken and she was devastated so I am glad we have a picture of it...and her counting her pennies!

Since the Babyman goes to play-pals on Tuesday and Thursdays, he does not get picked up until 1. On those days Mommy and Daddy get to have some special Hensley time and take her to lunch.

Last Thursday after our lunch at McDonald's we took Hensley to get her library card since she is now old enough for her own. Daddy actually got one too and I just got mine renewed...lol. Hensley got to go pick out some books to take home, she was actually very excited even though the picture does not reflect that. I think she was less than thrilled at Mama documenting everything she does.

Saturday Hensley, Babyman and I got to have some fun at Pizza Kastle with Ms. Tracy, Mrs. Kelli and Charlie.

Charlie left with fangs...

...and Hensley left with an ice cream cone

Babyman got to ride the carousel for the first time Saturday. He was not at thrilled about it as Hensley and Daddy were...lol.

Sunday, Babyman chilled out in his Sunday school class in a big boy chair.

Monday's are gymnastics days, Hensley loves her gymnastics and would do it everyday if we would let her. The Babyman is normally chilled out in his stroller munching on his cookies taking it all in.

Last but not least, Babyman has learned the meaning of "NO" and HE DOES NOT LIKE IT! He will give you these huge alligator tears for the next 10 minutes every time you look at him, giving you this look that rips your heart out that says "did you really just tell MEEEE NO?!". Poor thing, there might be some hard times in his future, lol!

Charlie Time

Yesterday Hensley got to spend some time with our friend Charlie Harvey. Charlie's mom and I grew up together and Charlie was born just a few weeks before Hensley. We always enjoy getting some play time in with Charlie when they are here visiting. Unfortunately this visit will be the last one for a very long time since they are moving to Bahrain at the end of September, so we will have to rack up some Charlie time while they are here. Hensley will have to keep in touch with her Buddie via email pictures while they are away.

Hensley and Charlie decided it was way too hot stay dry...ha!

Green Eggs and Birthday Donuts

It was a "Green Eggs and Ham" morning this morning. Hensley requested green eggs and green ham and the book this am so I very happily obliged! My brothers and I were blessed with an awesome mom that was always thinking of fun and creative things to do and occasionally having green eggs and ham was one of them!

Today Hensley ate lunch with Nana, which she announced to me that all she had was "junk food" when she got home...lol. I am sure she was in heaven. She also persuaded Nana that she NEEDED to bring us some donuts...yay for us...so we had donuts for desert after dinner. Also, today is Babyman's 9 month birthday so we celebrated with our yummy festive donuts. If it was up to Hensley everyone would celebrate their birthday everyday because she loves to sing and to be sung to the Happy Birthday song and blow out candles. Hensley also got to celebrate her 4yr-4mo-18day birthday! In the spirit of celebration we all had to wear "party" hats, Hensley produced Krispy Kreme hats for daddy Steven and I and she and baby Steven got to wear two of her prized toboggans...Fat Albert and Pingu.

Steven cracked a little bit of his normal smiling self even though he was beyond tired.

A T-Shirt and Moo-Moos

I was reading the paper this morning and found these two items that I found pretty humorous in the inserts...

My awesome friend Tracy has dubbed me as "Queen of Delete" so when I saw this t-shirt in the Belks insert I had to take a picture and send it to her!

This was far too funny NOT to share if you didn't catch it in the inserts this morning...a moo-moo that is slimming! YEAH!!!! I so need one of those! HA! Seems a bit of a oxymoron in the look and the description ;)

Play-Pals and Red Star Boots

Today was Steven's first day of Play-Pals at Ridgecrest. He is going on Tuesday and Thursdays. He was all smiles and did not even whimper when I left him. His Play-Pals classroom is actually right across from his old daycare classroom and all his favorite teachers came to speak to him today. I know he was very happy to see them!

Hensley was decked out in her stars and stripes today all the way down to her red star boots. That girl loves her dresses and shoes and I am always trying to get pictures of her in what she has picked out for the day...today my little fashion plate was not wanting to play the part of model. She did flash me a smile before she ran in the other room, ha!

This afternoon we went to the park to play, it was still rather hot and the playground equipment even hotter (ouch!). We did manage to play a little bit and then walked the short trail around the playground twice. Hensley is always looking for a chance to ride her scooter since we have a gravel driveway so, she loves bringing it and riding along with me as I walk.

Hensley is going up the center, I finally got over my fear she would fall and told her she could climb UP the center but not back down it...lol!

I think this is a look of "Oh my gosh, I just burned my butt!"...lol!

Always the little mama making sure her brother has what he needs

We came home from the park to a great dinner made by the hubby. Hensley decided she was freezing?????!!!!! and proceeded to eat dinner all bundled up like it was winter instead of the swealtering 100 degrees we had just come in from, she is such a nut.

A costume magazine came in the mail today and Hensley spent the rest of the evening pouring over its pages and picking out costumes for everyone. A great end to a great day...nighty nite ;)

First Day of K4

Today was Hensley's first day of K4. She was super excited and has an awesome teacher.

The new backpack...can you name ALL the princess on it?
(Her daddy couldn't...ha!)

Got to have a pose with your super baby brother!

Hensley and Ms. Sylvia

A little bit of pouting bc Mama wouldn't stop taking pictures...hee hee

11:00 - Steven was not so happy to be waiting in the car line for big sister...

Smiles from a great first day!!!

After lunch with Nana, swimming, and gymnastics both kids were fast asleep by 8:30pm, YEAH!!
