Praise Report For Babyman

Steven had his hearing test yesterday and passed with flying colors! The audiologist did the test twice to make sure there was no mistake and it seems that putting the tubes in his ears did the trick...Babyman can hear perfectly now.

We thank God for putting all the right people in our path from the beginning up in Birmingham and now here in Dothan and for what seems to be possibly a major problem turning out to be a minor one. Praise God for that!

Since having his tubes put in, Steven has done great and not had anymore ear infections so far although he still has a bit of drainage here an again. He also has become very LOUD and BOISTEROUS...ha! But we love it!

Hamster Chases and a Barbie Photo Shoot

This past weekend the kids and I just hung around the house waiting for Daddy to get off of work so he could join us and play here are a few things that we did...

Steven chased hamsters (yes mommy put the one in pieces back together good as new!)

Hensley made some yummy pink "lemonlaid" as she calls it.

Hensley ran through the sprinkler to stay cool and then came and gave me and Steven big hugs to keep us cool...so nice of her...lol :)

Steven kept us entertained while eating.

Hensley and I played Barbies and then she was a photographer and the Barbies were at a photo shoot. It was very funny to hear her tell them to "now yall smile big", "pose girls", "have fun"...she is hillarious!

We ended the night with a game of Head, Shoulder's, Knees and Toes at which when it is played in the Hinderliter household Hensley "reads" the directions and you have to go by what it says when she "reads" it making it impossible for anyone else to EVER win....ha!

Hamster Hair Bows

Monday when I picked up Hensley from daycare she tells me that her hamster (zhu-zhu pet) got stuck in her hair. I quickly glanced as she was telling me about it to see if there was a chunk of hair missing from her head and thank goodness there was not. She goes on to tell me that a friend of hers decided to run her hamster up her head and let it crawl in her hair but it got stuck. As I am picturing this in my head I am laughing and she is looking at me very sternly saying "mama it is not funny stop laughing"...lol. As it turns out her teacher, the director and another worker had to find a screw driver and take the entire hamster apart to get it out of her hair which I am told took about 20 mins to do. I was assured there was not crying involved...ha! We have been at the lake since Tuesday so when I walked Hensley into class this morning I found her naughty little hamster in a plastic bag with all his parts and a letter explaining what had happened to it...lol...and Yes, I am STILL laughing about it :).

We spent the last couple of days at the lake with my brother and his family. We always have a great time. I am so glad that our children will grow up being so close since my brothers and I did not have that with our cousins growing up. It's always a fun time with cousins!

Hanging out with Daddy in the big fun raft

There is no telling what crazy thing Uncle Steven is telling them that has their attention...lol!

A visit from tall Liz(yellow shirt) and Nanny Liz was awesome! Everyone loves the Lizes!!

Baby Andrew saying Hello!

It's a bird, it's a plane, no it's Babyman!!!

The trio out in the water

Big sister's blankie is always the best to snuggle in...

Until she finds out and takes it away...ha!

Too cute not to take a picture!!!

Big Boy Jammies

We have been working on Babyman sleeping through the night without getting up for his nightly bottle and for the past two nights he has been a big boy and not screamed bloody murder for that feeding. I have to believe it is due to his big boy jammies I bought him. The cutie that he is does look like a big boy in them and not my little 8 month old baby, man they grow up way too fast.

Tonight both Hensley and Steven were fast asleep at 7:30pm, Yay for Daddy Steven and me! We are celebrating by having a few beers and listening to The Rob Balducci Band...the music is Steven's choice not so much my liking...lol!

Hensley has been stuck on "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" lately and has watched it non stop. She also insists that she is Violet in the movie...the new one that is. If you are not familure with this movie Violet is the little girl that chews gum constantly, so Hensley has taken to this. Tonight as I was moving her from my bed to hers since she had fallen asleep in mine and realized she was still chewing on a piece so I had to fish that out of her mouth before I laid her in her bed. I can already picture what a big mess that would have caused in her hair. I personally like the old one "Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" because honestly the new one creeps me out.

We went to Red Lobster for dinner last night and I remembered very soon after being seated why we do not go out to eat with our children. After a trip to the car with Steven and two trips to the bathroom with Hensley and repeatedly telling Hensley to get off the floor because she had taken her shoes off and they were under the table the three of us went to the car and waited for daddy to finish eating in peace and to pay. Yes I was much more relaxed in the front seat of the car with my kids strapped in their seats in the back.

Today after naps and quiet time we spent the afternoon in the pool. It was mommy's turn to get in. I do not do backyard baby pools too well because one little piece of grass gets on me and I freak out. So, while mommy is in the pool there is no getting in and out and while daddy is in the pool there is a constant in and out running around. Even though Hensley couldn't get out and run around we still all had fun.

I will leave you with this cute birthday invite we got yesterday for a friends daughter's birthday party. This is so cute that I might have to steal it for Babyman's 1st birthday in November!

Ring and Run

Yup those sweet faces are GUILTY. Hensley and Steven have been taking a walk at night while I put baby Steven to bed. Tonight I am sitting there rocking Steven and I hear the two of them come in just laughing and laughing. They are laughing so hard they can hardly tell me what they are laughing at, when they finally get it out they tell me that on the way back from their walk they just decide to "ring and run" our neighbor. Yes they did this multiple times and Hensley said "Mr. Rick was real mad" snicker snicker. Steven is laughing his head off, now this is my 4 year old daughter doing this with her 42 year old daddy, the look on their faces about make me die laughing too as I am only "lightly" repremanding them. Knowing that Hensley will probably tell our neighbor about she and her daddy hiding in the bushes at his house while they did ring and run and watched him get mad because she doesn't keep anything a secret....ha! I have to say that Hensley just like her daddy is always wanting to have fun and looking for the next way to make someone laugh.

With that said, I am sorry to my neighbors for having to put up with the endless pranks that come from our house. Yall are definitely good sports about it!

New Job

Ok so I have been a so called "stay at home mom" since May when I lost my job due to my boss abruptly retiring. That really is not fully the truth because both of my kids are still in daycare until August 9th. Today I am typing up the letter to give to their daycare notifying them of their last day and honestly I am a bit nervous and sad. Nervous because I will have little man home with me all the time and Hensley will join us after pre-k gets out at 11:00, sad because I know that Hensley has found so many wonderful friends that she will maintain through pre-k but Steven will not have the same opportunity as she did in that way.
Today I went out and bought a weekly planner. I figured since that was the way I ran my life when I worked for the Judge then that is the way I should run my life at home too...since this is my "New Job" and I guess it is only natural to be nervous about a new job right? Ha!
So, as a SAHM I will be cooking (yall be praying for the fam on this one!), cleaning, cleaning OUT and managing this house hold in general. I hope to get to try some new things that have always wanted to do...like maybe sew a few things...(yall can stop laughing now) and hopefully maintain this blog a little bit better.
Hey, I guess anything is better than before since this is my first post...lol! Hopefully more to follow soon!
